Kerstin Rosengren's cushions and images

"Only your imagination imposes limitations" is an old Swedish saying that fits well into Kerstin's world of creative textiles. In her new gallery you'll find knitted art created as paintings meant to adorn your walls, large wonderful floor cushions, and mobiles hanging from the tall, vaulted ceiling – all knitted textile art. This year Kerstin let her imagination run wild and the result is fun, exciting, wild and beautiful!

Kerstin is a member of ÖSKG and participates in the annual Arts Tour (number 91 on the ÖSKG map) during which she exhibits her newest work.

"This region is such an inspiring environment. I am in the middle of the world, like in a snow globe with the sky stretching from horizon to horizon with an unobstructed view in every direction. The landscape is constantly changing. I am surrounded by nature and get to experience the change of every season. The brilliant light in the Österlen regionis reflected in my new images. I have let go of the black garments and work much more in a new color spectrum both with my garments and images. My textile art is my creative expression and I attempt to capture excitement in my knitted images by stretching the boundaries of what hand knitting machines are capable of."
